Based in Austin, TX, O'KEEFE is the solo project of Erin O'Keefe, co-founder of former indie trio, The Succulents. With strong retro roots, O'KEEFE's debut record, 'Light Within,' contains elements of 1960's soul/r&b, pseudo-modern dream pop, Dylan-style storytelling, slow-burning protest anthems, and is full of timeless songwriting and hum-along-worthy melodies. Light Within was produced, recorded and engineered by O'KEEFE at Firefly Austin Recording Studio, mastered by Cris Burns, and features special appearances by Rosie Flores (All The Time) and Colin Gilmore (Stand For Your Land.) O’KEEFE has shared past & present band members with the likes of Roky Erickson, Israel Nash, Uncle Lucius, The Lonesome Heroes, Sheverb, Belcurve, The Memphis Strange, The Gourds, and many others. Like Jim Stringer always says, “Austin’s got one band and everybody’s in it.” O’KEEFE is a perfect example.
